  • Who manages the accounts?
JeffCo District account: The district allocates funds to the Columbine High School athletic department and these funds are disbursed amongst the entire CHS athletic program. The amount disbursed to each program is based on participation numbers, sport costs, and need. The funds are tracked by the school's financial secretary. Coaches request approval from the athletic director for needed items such as equipment, supplies, and uniforms. Coach salaries, game worker salaries, facility repair, and maintenance expenses are covered with other district level accounts. Campus Activity account: Each athletic program has a campus activity account managed by the coach. The coach can choose to track fundraisers through the campus activity account. Columbine Volleyball Boosters account: The Booster Club account is managed by the officers and tracked by the treasurer. All funds raised are 100% used for the program. CHS Rebel Volleyball Boosters are managed by 100% non-compensated volunteers.
  • How is the CHS Volleyball program funded?
The program is funded by the Jefferson County School District's budget, school account fundraisers (Campus Activity), and the CHS Volleyball fundraisers.
  • Do I have to Volunteer?
YES! The primary goal of the Boosters is to support our coaches by allowing them to focus on coaching, rather than managing the many details that go into running a successful program. To make that possible, we rely on help from our families throughout the season. Families can either volunteer their time or choose to pay the Volunteer Fee. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved—working the concession stand, helping with Homecoming Week activities, organizing team meals, or volunteering as a Team Parent. We ask all families to participate to help things run smoothly. At the Parent Meeting, each player is required to bring a Volunteer Fee check. This check will be held and not deposited, provided that the family fulfills their assigned volunteer responsibilities and returns all team-issued equipment in good condition. If a family does not complete their volunteer duties or if equipment is missing or damaged, the check will be cashed. If you’re unsure how to help or want to learn more about volunteering, just ask a Booster member. We will also discuss all opportunities during the parent meeting at the beginning of the season (held just after tryouts). Your involvement truly makes a difference in the success of our season!
  • What is the Volunteer Fee?
Each season, we rely on the support of our athletes' parents and guardians to help run key events such as the car wash, matches, tournaments, and themed match nights. To ensure the success of our program, we ask each family to volunteer at various points throughout the season. Volunteer opportunities may include: * Working concessions * Decorating the Homecoming hallway * Coordinating theme nights (Youth Night, Think Pink, Senior Night, Parent Night) * Assisting with the end-of-season banquet As part of our program policy: If you fulfill your volunteer commitment, your Volunteer Fee check will not be deposited. If volunteer duties are not completed, your check will be deposited. We truly appreciate your time and involvement—your support plays a vital role in making our season a success!
  • How can I be involved in Columbine Volleyball?
Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer should contact the booster club via email and request to be added to the booster communication group.
  • What is the JeffCo fee and how is it used?
All high school athletes are expected to pay an annual athletic fee which is allocated to the Jefferson County (JeffCo) district. 2025-2026 fee is $185. This fee is not allocated to each athletes’ correspondent sport or school. Historically, the athletic department has received a small amount after most of the funds are used for various expenses at the district level. If your daughter does not make a Volleyball team, the JeffCo fee can either be returned to you, or applied to a different athletic program. Speak with the Athletic Assistant for more details.
  • What is the Program Fee?
The Program Fee goes directly to our program and pays for items such as: Equipment: bags, uniforms, balls, nets, referee stands, score boards, other practice equipment and many other items. Referees and gym rental for tournaments Player Appreciation: There are several events throughout the season including theme nights (youth night, Senior night, etc.), Homecoming hallway decorations, and end of season banquet. Coaches / Player Banquet Tickets This is not an all inclusive list.
